DOT Force : Final Report of Team 3: Human Capacity Development

The implementation team of the Digital Opportunity Task Force (DOT Force) dealing with Action Point 3, to enhance human capacity development, knowledge creation and sharing, presented its final report to the G8 summit in Kananaskis (Canada) from 25 – 28 June 2002. Created in the fourth quarter of 2000, the DOT Force set for itself certain Action Points, and within an Implementation Framework established a team for each point (see [ilink=http://www.ictdevagenda.org/frame.php?dir=07&sd=10&sid=1&id=49]DOT Force and the Genoa Plan of Action[endilink]).

Achievements:

This team has completed planning work (inventory of activities and needs analysis) aimed at determining and specifying which additional programs should be implemented in order to cover urgent demands of developing countries in the area of ICT human capacity building, notably in the area of e-literacy for students.’
